Amendment of the EU Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC) into the EU Construction Products Regulation (305/2011/EU) requires certain formal changes to be taken into account in the harmonised product specifications. This results in consequences for the manufacturers of urinals. Urinals serve personal hygiene. Due to their design and flushing properties, they can be assigned to different classes used in the Member States. CEN/TC 163 "Sanitary appliances" is aware that due to the new requirements for manufacturers of sanitary equipment resulting from Regulation 305/2011/EU and the non-compliant requirements of the relevant harmonized European standards until now, clear concern and uncertainty had arisen among the players on the market. On the initiative of the German delegation in CEN/TC 163, short-term amendment or revision of all these standards, including EN 13407, was initiated. The content of the amendment to this standard is the introduction of the term "product type", the introduction of the clause "hazardous substances", modification of the marking of products, replacement of the clause "conformity assessment" by "assessment and verification of constancy of performance - AVCP" and the replacement of Annex ZA by the new Annex ZA in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 305/2011/EU. NA 119-05-18-01 UA "Waschtische, Sitzwaschbecken, Klosetts, Urinale" ("Wash basins, bidets, lavatories, urinals") is responsible for the national mirroring of this work.
