Overview

This standard specifies the equipment and methods for the high voltage testing of butt or overlap welded joints in unused thermoplastic sheets for locating through-thickness defects. The standard is directed at manufacturers and test facilities for thermoplastic products. It contains in particular aspects of product safety. DIN EN 13100-4 is the German version of the European Standard EN 13100-4 which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics". Committee NA 054-05-12 "Fügen von Kunststoffen" ("Joining of Plastics") at DIN is responsible for DIN EN 13100-4.
