DIN EN 13067:2013-01

This standard specifies the methods of testing the knowledge and skill of a welder who is required to carry out welds on thermoplastics in new constructions and repair work. The skill examination of a welder is an essential condition for the assurance of the quality of the welding work. The application of this standard guarantees that the examination is carried out according to a uniform test procedure. The standard is directed at authorities for plastics welders that are to use this standard as the basis for the qualification test of welders for the welding of thermoplastic materials. It is intended to form the basis for mutual recognition of the certification of welders by examining bodies with respect to various fields of application. The standard contains in particular aspects of product safety. DIN EN 13067 is the German version of the European Standard, which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics". The committee responsible for DIN 13067 is NA 054-05-12 AA "Fügen von Kunststoffen" ("Joining of plastics") at DIN.
