This European Standard specifies the following materials for the pressure bearing parts of shell boilers and equipment of shell boilers (for example, valves), subjected to internal and external pressure including integral attachments (non pressure bearing parts): a) flat products (plate) and parts formed from flat products (for example, shell, furnace, dished ends); b) tubes and parts formed from tubes (for example, bending, elbows, reducers, fittings); c) forgings and cast products; d) bolting materials; e) welding consumables. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 269 "Shell and water-tube boilers", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 082-00-18 AA "Dampfkesselanlagen" ("Boiler plants") of the Piping and Boiler Plant Standards Committee (NARD).
