This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 336 "Bituminous binders", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible committee is Joint Working Committee NA 062-03-32 GA "Bitumen; Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen für die Bindemittel" ("Bitumen; test methods and specifications of binders") in the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at the DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau). This document specifies a procedure for determining the paraffin wax content of bitumen and bituminous binder by the DIN method. Aqueous bituminous binders, fluxed or cut-back anhydrous binders, and modified binders, whatever their consistency, do not apply for this test method.
