DIN EN 12467:2012-12

This document specifies the technical requirements and establishes methods of inspection and test as well as acceptance conditions for fibre-cement flat sheets, siding shingles and planks (referred to as sheets later in the standard) for one or more of the following uses: - internal wall and ceiling finishes; - external wall and ceiling finishes. Products covered by this document can be used for other purposes provided they comply with the relevant application standard, for example, rigid underlays. This document covers sheets reinforced with fibres of different types as specified in 5.1.1. This document does not cover sheets for fire protection purposes. This document does not include calculations with regard to works, design requirements, installation techniques, wind uplift or rain proofing of the installed sheets. This standard differs from DIN EN 12467:2006-12 as follows: a) clause 2 "Normative references" and some terms and definitions in clause 3 have been revised; b) subclause 5.4.3 "Moisture movement" has been added; c) subclause 5.4.4 "Mechanical characteristics - Bending strength (MOR) - Modulus of elasticity (MOE)" has been revised; d) Tables 7 and 8 have been revised; e) subclause 7.3.2.4 "Expression and interpretation of results" has been revised and subdivided into "Modulus of rupture MOR" and "Modulus of elasticity MOE"; f) subclause 7.3.7 "Moisture movement test" has been added; g) subclause 7.5.2.2 "Mounting and fixing provisions for EN 13823" has been revised; h) Annex C "Test method for the determination of moisture movement characteristic of fibre-cement sheets" has been added; i) Annex ZA has been updated; j) the standard has been editorially revised.
