DIN EN 12420:2014-09

This European Standard (EN 12420:2014) specifies the composition, the property requirements and tolerances on dimensions and form for copper and copper alloy die and hand forgings. The sampling procedures, the methods of test for verification of conformity to the requirements of this document, and the delivery conditions are also specified. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association to provide a means of conforming to Essential Requirements of the New Approach Directive 97/23/EC, Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). This document (revision of edition DIN EN 12420:1999) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 133 "Copper and copper alloys" (secretariat DIN, Germany) of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). Regarding the German collaboration, Working Committee NA 066-02-04 AA "Strangpress- und Zieherzeugnisse" ("Extruded and drawn products") at Nonferrous Metals Standards Committee (FNNE) is responsible.
