This amendment of DIN EN 12390-2 contains the modified national Annex to DIN EN 12390-2:2009-08 and DIN EN 12390-2 Corrigendum 1:2012-02. The amendment shall replace the national annex of DIN EN 12390-2. Although the national Annex has only been partly modified and supplemented, Working Committee NA 005-07-05 AA "Prüfverfahren für Beton" ("Test methods for concrete") has decided to completely replace the national annex in order to simplify manageability and legibility. This Amendment is based on the experience that the curing of test specimens in a climate chamber irrespective of their age at the time of testing, that is the removal of the specimens from the water bath after 7 days, is not realistic for concrete specimens that have reached an age of more than 28 days after they have been made. EN 12390-2:2009 which is not contained in this document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 104 (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 005-07-05 AA "Prüfverfahren für Beton (SpA CEN/TC 104/SC 1/TG 8 und CEN/TC 51/WG 12)" ("Test methods for concrete (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 104/SC 1/TG 8 and CEN/TC 51/WG 12)") at the DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
This document has been replaced by: DIN EN 12390-2:2019-10 .
