Overview
The first edition of European Standard EN 10363 specifies the tolerances on dimensions, limiting dimensions and shape for continuous hot-rolled checker plate and strip without coating. Three patterns are standardized: R, T and A. These products are used to improve both slip resistance and/or increase surefootedness, and for decoration. The responsible German standardization committee is Subcommittee 20/1 "Hot-rolled flat products" at DIN Standards Committee Iron and Steel (FES).
