This standard specifies requirements for hexagon slotted and castle nuts with metric coarse and fine pitch thread and nominal thread diameter from 4 mm to 100 mm of product grade A (up to 16 mm nominal thread diameter) and product grade B (over 16 mm nominal thread diameter). In addition to editorial alignments, the technical delivery conditions have been revised in accordance with the new edition of DIN EN ISO 898-2. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-03 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Innengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric internal thread") at the Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV) at DIN e. V.
