Overview

This standard describes drain screws intended for water and fuel tanks, where the ship's hull forms the tank bottom. These drain screws are welded into the ship's hull at the tank bottom and can be screwed on from the outside. They are required to empty these tanks completely during dockside cleaning, maintenance and repair work on the ship.
