Overview
The standards of the series DIN 85005 lay down the designation, shape and meaning of graphical symbols in the technical documentation for scheme-drawings and plans such as general sketches and similar abstract descriptions for seagoing vessels, inland vessels, vessels of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy), national authorities as well as for offshore-units. The graphical symbols as given in DIN 85005-4 may be applied for combinations with the other graphical symbols as given in the series DIN 85005. The graphical symbols are in accordance with the rules of DIN EN ISO 81714-1. DIN 85005-4 lays down shape and meaning of graphical symbols for sounding pipes, air pipes and filling pipes. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 132-05-02 AA "Graphische Symbole" ("Graphical symbols").
