Overview

The standards of the series DIN 85005 lay down the designation, shape and meaning of graphical symbols in the technical documentation for scheme-drawings and plans such as general sketches and similar abstract descriptions for seagoing vessels, inland vessels, vessels of the Deutsche Marine (German Navy), national authorities as well as for offshore-units. The graphical symbols as given in DIN 85005-10 may be applied for combinations with the other graphical symbols as given in the series DIN 85005. Measuring units or input units and their processing are indicated by identification letters in tables. The order is given according to DIN 19227-1. Other tables indicate the combinations necessary for shipbuilding. DIN 85005-10 lays down shape and meaning of graphical symbols for sensors and operating indicators. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 132-05-02 AA "Graphische Symbole" ("Graphical symbols").
