DIN 81701:2015-07

This standard applies to stanchions and holders for tiltable and detachable railings for inland navigation vessels. This standard summarizes the requirements of the standards DIN 81701 "Inland navigation vessels - Stanchions and holders for tiltable and detachable railings" and DIN 83510 "Inland navigation vessels - Tiltable railings - Stanchion". The stanchions are locked in welded-on holders and are designed for use with handrails and intermediate guardrails made of wire ropes. Detachable and tiltable railings are predominantly in the side deck areas where a permanently fitted railing can be an obstacle for loading/discharging operations. These railings correspond to railing types CT and CD in the work area and contain safety dimensions according to the specifications in DIN EN 711. This standard is intended to replace DIN 81701:1997 and DIN 83510:1997.
