DIN 79018:2017-05

This standard specifies the minimum requirements and test methods for the structural strength and the determination of flight safety characteristics of paragliders for paramotor gliders and applies to a) foot-launched paramotor gliders with harness and rescue equipment and b) roll-launched paramotor gliders with landing gear and pilot's seat or seats and rescue equipment with an unladen mass of up to 120 kg. Clause 4 of this standard contains safety-related specifications. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 112-03-11 AA "Gleitschirme" ("Paragliders") at DIN Standards Committee Sports Equipment (NASport). Support structures for gravity-controlled ultra-light aircraft of the paramotor and paramotor trike type with an unladen weight of less than 120 kg are fully subject to the German Civil Aviation Law (LuftVG) and the ordinances issued for its implementation.
