This document specifies bolt end protrusions for general purpose assemblies of bolts, screws and similar fasteners with ISO metric screw thread in accordance with DIN 13-28, and with tapping screw thread in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1478. The bolt end protrusions specified here shall ensure the full load bearing capacity and functioning of the nut (internal thread). With respect to the previous document, bolt end protrusions for tapping screws have been included. This standard has been prepared by NA 067-00-01 AA "Referenznormen und Qualitätsmanagement" ("Reference standards and quality management") at the Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV).
