DIN 77200-3:2017-11

This series of standards covers services that serve the following purposes in particular: - as a preventive measure, - protection against the dangers of crime, operational failures, damage caused by natural disasters, malfunctions and technical faults, organizational deficiencies, and - reduction of damage that may result from the aforementioned dangers. The requirements for the aforementioned preventive measures are set out in the DIN 77200-1 standard. The DIN 77200-2 standard contains extended requirements for security services for special service areas and is currently still in preparation. The determination of the conformity of security services with DIN 77200-3 is considered, in agreement with the interested parties, to be an appropriate means of ensuring that the requirements of DIN 77200-1 are met and adhered to. The determination of the conformity of security services with DIN 77200-3 should preferably be carried out by independent third parties. Clients, contractors, authorities, non-governmental organizations, consumers and all other interested parties expect the conformity assessment body to fulfil and comply with all the requirements of DIN 77200-3. The conformity assessment body checks with the customer, namely the security service provider, as to whether the latter fulfils the requirements of DIN 77200-1. DIN 77200-3 lays down the principles for the certification of security services and their processes, as well as the requirements for the certification procedure for the implementation and maintenance of this certification. It applies to all certification bodies that offer certification according to DIN 77200-1. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 159-01-02 AA "Wach- und Sicherheitsdienstleistungen" ("Private security services") at DIN Standards Committee Services (NADL).
