The standard specifies requirements for screw plugs which are intended to be screwed into holes with parallel thread as specified in DIN 13-5 and DIN 13-6. Such plugs are used, for example, together with a suitable seal ring in accordance with DIN 7603, the type and material of which are to be selected as a function of the ambient conditions (medium, temperature, pressure, etcetera). In addition to editorial changes, dimension "s" for M16×1,5 has been corrected, widths across flats according to DIN ISO 272 have been added, tolerances for widths across flats have been modified, technical delivery conditions have been revised and additional designation examples have been incorporated. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-08 AA "Verbindungselemente mit Sonderformen und aus Kunststoff" ("Fasteners with special elements and made of plastics") of the Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV) at DIN.
