DIN 715:2011-02

This standard has been prepared by the Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings Standards Committee, Working Committee NA 118-01-02 AA "Kugellager und Spannlager einschließlich Teile, allgemeines Wälzlagerzubehör und Gehäuse" ("Ball bearings and inside bearings, including parts, general rolling bearings accessories and housings").
This standard specifies dimensions and symbols for double direction thrust ball bearings with flat housing washers, crowned housing washers and with support washers.
In consideration of the general plan of boundary dimensions stated in DIN 616 and ISO 104, it offers an adjusted selection of thrust ball bearings with flat housing washers and, in addition, a similar range of design with crowned housing washers and with support washers for the practical needs of the user.
With respect to DIN 715:1987-08, the following modifications have been made: a) the standard has been editorially revised; b) designations of the chamfers have been updated; c) designation d₂ = shaft washer has been changed to d₂ = centre disk; d) bearing weights have been deleted; e) normative references have been updated
With respect to DIN 715:2009-09, the following corrections have been made: f) correction of the symbols in Table 2 for d₂ = 10 mm from 5402 to 54202 and from 5420 U to 54202 U; g) correction of the value C in Table 2 from 0 mm to 5 mm for thrust ball bearings with the symbols 54204 and 54204 U; h) correction of the value D₃ in Table 2 from 133 mm to 130 mm for thrust ball bearings with the symbols 54217 and 54217 U; i) correction of the value A in Table 2 from 390 mm to 39 mm for thrust ball bearings with the symbols 54317 and 54317 U; j) correction of the symbol in Table 2 for d₂ = 85 mm for D = 170 mm from 54220 to 54320; k) editorial alignments in Tables 1 and 2.
