DIN 6646:2013-03

This standard applies for drop handles on non-removable head (tight head) and removable head (open head) drums made of steel. The drop handle in accordance with this standard is intended for non-removable head (tight head) and removable head (open head) drums in accordance with DIN EN 13007 and DIN EN 13008 with the contents of up to 62 litres. The following modifications have been made with respect to the previous document - DIN 6646:2001-04: a) Figure 1 has been revised (dimensions adapted); b) the last sentence in clause 3 has been amended as follows: the shape and number of welding studs may vary depending on the manufacturer; c) editorially revised. The revision has been carried out by Working Committee NA 115-02-03 AA "Spund- und Deckelbehältnisse" ("Plug and bung closure systems") at the Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp).
