This standard shall be used when defining the design data of bolts/screws and nuts intended for aerospace equipment to guarantee their appropriate allocation in terms of materials and surface treatments. Effects on electroplating emanating from the bearing surfaces of the components have not been taken into account. This document has been prepared by experts of NA 131-03-01 AA "Verbindungselemente" ("Aerospace fasteners") of the Aerospace Standards Committee (NL) at DIN.
