Overview

This document has been prepared by Joint Working Committee NA 025-00-02 GA "Farbmetrik" ("Colometry") at the Colour Standards Committee (FNF) at DIN. This document specifies a formalism for calculation of illuminant metamerism of plain colours. It cannot be applied to special-effect paints without adaptations in metrics. This document only deals with the phenomenon of metamerism at change in illuminant which is of greatest importance in practical applications. In particular, recommendations are formulated what corrective measures shall be taken in the case of not exactly identical colour location of a pair of samples under reference conditions.
