This document applies to the use of electronic dimmers for brightness control of lamps in low-voltage systems in event and production technology. This document does not apply to the use of dimmers in general lighting, for household dimmers in accordance with DIN EN 60669-2-1 (VDE 0632-2-1) or for mechanical dimmers. Dimmers for LEDs are not included in this document; these are dealt with in DIN 15780. The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 149-00-04 AA "Licht- und Energieverteilungssysteme" ("Lighting and Power Distributions Systems") at DIN Standards Committee the Entertainment Technology, Photography and Cinematography (NVBF).
