Overview

This standard defines terms and definitions for lighting equipment used in stationary and mobile meeting locations and production sets for scenic presentations. This standard cites the International Electrotechnical Vocabulary - Chapter 845: Lighting. With respect to DIN 56920-4:1974-06, the terms and definitions have been adapted and comprehensively supplemented. Terms and definitions for lighting control, moving light and dimmer technologies have been incorporated, amongst others. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 149-00-04 AA "Licht- und Medientechnik" ("Lighting- and media technology") at the Entertainment Technology, Photography and Cinematography Standards Committee (NVBF) at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V.
