DIN 5402-3:2012-04

This standard specifies dimensions, masses and symbols for needle rollers. It offers a selection of needle rollers which has been adjusted to the practical needs of the users. Regarding further dimensions for needle rollers not given in Table 1, specifications laid down in this standard may be agreed upon as well. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN 5402-3:1993-03 : a) the normative references have been updated; b) the terms and definitions in clause 3 have been supplemented; c) in compliance with ISO 15241 symbol t_s has been changed to S_Dw and symbol t_Dw has been changed to Δ_RW; d) the following dimensions have been added in Table 1: 1) D_w = 4,5 mm and D_w = 5,5 mm with all corresponding lengths; 2) D_w = 3,5 mm to 6 mm with the lengths 31,8 mm and 37,8 mm; 3) 2 mm×6,8 mm, 2 mm×21,8 mm, 5 mm×17,8 mm, 6 mm×19,8 mm, 6 mm×27,8 mm, 6 mm×29,8 mm, 6 mm×34,8 mm, 6 mm×49,8 mm, 6 mm×59,8 mm; e) Table 2: V_Dwp and V_DwL have been added; f) Figure 3 has been revised and Figure 4 has been added; g) Table 3, S_Dw value has been adjusted to the new measurement method in accordance with Figure 4; h) Annex A has been added; i) the explanatory notes have been transferred to Annex B; j) a bibliography has been added.
