DIN 5290-2:2015-12

The standard applies to spring hooks made of light metal without setting nut for special purposes of fire brigades, among others in connection with fire brigade lines and multi-purpose lines according to DIN 14920. Spring hooks according to this standard may not be used for personal protective equipment for holding functions and for preventing falls. This standard mainly specifies the dimensions and materials, the requirements for the manufacturing process, the tests and the marking. Compared with the previous edition of DIN 5290-2, published in October 1977, the main changes made are of an editorial nature and the normative references have been updated. The committee responsible for this standard is Working Committee NA 031-04-03 AA "Persönliche Schutzausrüstung für die Feuerwehr - SpA zu CEN/TC 158/WG 3" ("Personal protective equipment for firefighters - Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 158/WG 3") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
