This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-06-62 AA "Prüfung von Schmierfetten" ("Testing of lubricating greases") of the Fachausschuss Mineralöl- und Brennstoffnormung (FAM) (Standardization Committee for petroleum, fuels, lubricants and related products (FAM)) of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at DIN. This document specifies a method for the determination of the flow point of lubricants, preferably of NLGI classes 0 to 2 in accordance with DIN 51818 and provides the additional possibility to determine other characteristic values of viscoelastic properties.
