Overview
This document has been prepared by NA 062-06-11 AA "Atomspektrometrie" ("Atomic spectrometry") of the Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products Standardization Committee (FAM) at the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP). This document specifies a method for determination of the content of vanadium and nickel as mass fraction in the range > 1 mg/kg in fuel oils, residual oils and middle distillates with atomic absorption spectrometry (ASS) or by optical emission spectral analysis with inductively coupled plasma (ICP-OES).
Please get in touch with the relevant contact person at DIN if you have problems understanding the content of the standard or need advice on how to apply it.
