Overview

This standard specifies a basic test set-up for the determination of fundamental electrochemical data of bimetallic corrosion assuming a homogeneous current distribution. In order to simulate practical investigations on heterogeneous components, examples of test specimens are presented and investigations on model systems are described. The evaluation of the measurement results is explained. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-01-77 AA "Korrosionsprüfverfahren" ("Corrosion testing") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
