This standard specifies the method for calibrating portable hardness testing devices according to the UCI method in accordance with DIN 50159-1. This standard specifies a direct and indirect test method suitable for the determination of all deviations and the repeatability of the testing device. The indirect testing method can be used for regular routine monitoring by the user. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-01-41 AA "Härteprüfung für Metalle" ("Hardness testing for metals").
