The standard applies to hose assemblies with an operating temperature range from -30 °C to 70 °C. This document does not apply to hose assemblies subjected to particular thermal stress, for example in liquefied petroleum gas operated installations with combustion engines (see DIN 4815-4) and, principally not to welding, cutting and allied processes (see DIN EN 559 in conjunction with DIN EN 1256 and DIN EN 1327).
