This standard contains valve inlet and outlet connections meeting the requirements of DIN EN ISO 10297 when using standardized cylinder valves. The main purpose of this standard is to allocate valve outlet connections to certain gas types in order to prevent exchangeability of connections of non-compatible gases (for example, oxygen/hydrogen). This standard applies for gas cylinder valves according to DIN EN ISO 10297 for compressed, liquefied and dissolved gases. Unless specified otherwise, this standard specifies inlet and outlet connections of gas cylinder valves for cylinder test pressures of up to 300 bar. Inlet and outlet connections for gas cylinder valves for respiratory protective devices are specified in DIN EN 144, Parts 1 to 3. Outlet connections of gas cylinder valves for cylinder test pressures of more than 300 bar up to 450 bar are specified in DIN 477-5. For gas cylinders where the content is intended for medical purposes, gas cylinder valves with outlet connections according to the pin-index yoke type system specified in DIN EN ISO 407 can be provided. Outlet connections for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder valves are specified in DIN EN 15202. This standard corrects and supersedes DIN 477-1:2011-03. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 016-00-03 AA "Druckgasflaschen und Ausrüstung; Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 23 und ISO/TC 58" ("Gas cylinders and equipment; Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 23 and ISO/TC 58") at DIN.
