Overview

This standard applies to machine spools for coiling wire with flanges of diameter 315 mm to 2 500 mm and it supersedes the previous edition from 1972-03. Compared to this edition, the spool size has been limited, among other things. The responsible committee is DKE/K 414 "Hilfsmittel für Fertigung und Transport von Kabeln, Leitungen und Drähten" ("Auxiliary equipment for manufacturing and transportation of cables, lines and wires") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
