DIN 4547-1:2012-04

The 1973 version of DIN 4547 has been revised and the contents have been expanded. This resulted in Part 1: Shapes, dimensions, designation, materials and Part 2: Functional and safety requirements and testing. Part 1 covers the description of the dimensional requirements for wardrobes and compartment cupboards. A distinction between foot, base and substructures is made for these cupboard variations. The target sizes for the most important cupboard deviations are defined in tables. Simultaneously, tolerances are specified for defined sizes. A classification for unambiguous designation of cupboards is given in the standard. Annex A gives design examples. After more than 30 years, the cupboard deviations have been adjusted to the current structural conditions and the ergonomic requirements in Part 1. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 020-00-20 AA "Schränke aus Stahl" ("Steel cupboards") at DIN.
