Overview

The standard specifies requirements and test methods for perforated pipes made from polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) which are used for collection and discharge of drainage water from landfills as part of the bottom liner. The standard deals in particular with quality aspects of perforated pipes made from the plastic materials PE and PP which are necessary for the long-term safety of drainage water discharge from landfills, in order to prevent groundwater contamination. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 119-05-22 AA "Sickerrohre aus Kunststoff" ("Plastic drainage pipes") at DIN.
