Overview

This standard applies in conjunction with DIN 4000-88 and DIN 4003-1 and specifies the 3D modelling for milling cutters with arbor hole for indexable inserts. In the standard series DIN 4003, clear rules independent of CAD/CAM systems for the design of 3D models are specified. Based on the standard series DIN 4000 and ISO 13399, 3D models with coordination systems and additional parameters in their representation and depth of detailing are defined. These 3D models form the basis for the data exchange, for instance, between suppliers and users, and for the application in the CAD/CAM process chain. This standard has been prepared by NA 121-07-02 AA "Aufbau von 3D-Modellen nach DIN 4000" ("Design of 3D models according to DIN 4000").
