DIN 30730:2016-02

This document has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Municipal Services (NKT), Working Committee NA 051-03-01 AA "Abfallentsorgung; Fahrzeuge und Geräte ("Waste disposal; Vehicles and equipment) after preparatory work in Working Group NA 051-03-01-02 AK "Überarbeitung DIN 30720, DIN 30723, DIN 30730 und DIN 30735" ("Revision DIN 30720, DIN 30723, DIN 30730 and DIN 30735"). A revision of DIN 30735:1997-12 had become necessary because the harmonized standard DIN EN 16486, "Machines for compacting waste materials or recyclable fractions - Compactors - Safety requirements" was published in September 2014. Some of the contents previously contained in DIN 30730 have thus become part of DIN EN 16486 and are binding throughout Europe. All other aspects, such as: - load securing on vehicles for transporting the MAP (Mobile Waste Compactor); - designation examples for MAP; - constructional as well as material-specific requirements; - connection dimensions for roller contact tipper vehicles and multi-bucket system vehicles; - maintenance measures; - test components for acceptance and repeat testing; - position for systems for container identification; which are not within the scope of DIN EN 16486, are included in the present DIN 30730. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 051-03-01 AA "Abfallentsorgung; Fahrzeuge und Geräte (Spiegelgremium für CEN/TC 183/WG 2)" ("Waste disposal; Vehicles and equipment (Mirror committee to CEN/TC 183/WG 2)") at DIN.
