This document applies for hoods for the handling of unsealed radioactive substances at increased requirements for radiation protection. Unless no requirements are specified in this document, DIN EN 14175-1, DIN EN 14175-2 and DIN EN 14175-3 apply. The purpose of this document is to provide rules for construction and tests of fume hoods for radioactive materials in order to provide planners, installers, operators, assessors and authorities with a guideline. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 062-07-63 AA "Radionuklidlaboratorien" ("Radionuclide laboratories") at DIN.
