This document applies to fuel assemblies of light water-cooled power reactors. It is also applicable to fuel assemblies or breeder assemblies of other types of power reactors, provided that the technical requirements for this are met (for example, not for power reactors with spherical fuel assemblies). The document contains specifications for uniform marking of the fuel assemblies so that they can be identified. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-07-61 AA "Terminologie und Grundlagen" ("Terminology and fundamentals") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
