Overview

The DIN 21530 series of standards regulates the quality assurance procedure for mine support used in underground mines to secure and keep open the mine workings required for operations. It can also be used for the support of non-mining underground cavities. Observance of the standards ensures that the mine support functions as planned in terms of safety and operation, and enables it to be used economically. The standard specifies the marking of parts of mine support in accordance with DIN 21530-2. It applies to steel profiles and connecting elements used as parts of mine support in roadways and other mine workings. The standard has been prepared by FABERG Working Committee NA 008-02-03 AA "Streckenausbau" ("Roadway support").
