DIN 18947:2013-08

This standard specifies terms and definitions, requirements and test methods for earth plasters manufactured in factories (factory-made earth plasters) for rendering walls and ceilings in indoor areas and weather-proofed outdoor areas. Earth plasters can also potentially be used outdoors as undercoat for weather-proof final coats. The standard is applicable for earth plasters with application thickness of at least 3 mm. The standard is not applicable for thin-layer earth coatings with application thicknesses of less than 3 mm thickness. For the application of earth plasters the Lehmbau-Regeln (German regulations for building with earth) and the Technical Leaflet TM01 of the Dachverband Lehm e. V. (German Association for Building with Earth) apply. This standard is not applicable for stabilized earth plasters. This standard is also not applicable for earth plasters for construction sites. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-06-08 AA "Lehmbau" ("Construction materials made of earth") at DIN.
