Overview
DIN 1873-1 replaces DIN 1873 from 2004. What is new is the transfer of the standard into a series of standards. Part 1 concerns pedestrian controlled rotary mowers that do not have a device for the user to ride on and are intended for domestic use or similar purposes. Part 2 is intended to apply to robotic mowers. Compared to the predecessor standard, the contents have been completely revised and adapted to the current state of the art and the applicable product standards for lawnmowers. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 020-00-11-03 UA "Rasenmäher - Gebrauchstauglichkeit" ("Lawnmower performance criteria") at DIN.
Please get in touch with the relevant contact person at DIN if you have problems understanding the content of the standard or need advice on how to apply it.
