Overview

This standard specifies requirements and test methods for mechanical security devices subsequently mounted in the rebates of door and window elements and which thus raise the resistance of these elements to invasion to such an extent that negotiation with simple tools is aggravated (for instance, Tilt and Turn furnishings, rear gripping safeguards, mortice locks and multi-point locking systems). The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN 18104-2:2002-11: a) the normative references have been updated; b) the scope has been rendered more precise; c) the standard has been completely revised editorially; d) the definition 3.2 has been revised; e) subclause 5.6.2 has been rendered more precise. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-09-02 AA "Einbruchschutz" ("Burglar resistance") at DIN.
