This standard defines terms for porous printing. It is intended to standardize the technical language within the defined framework in order to ensure the unambiguous use of technical terms in operation, training and science. This standard contains printing technology terms and explains them according to the latest state of the art and terminological principles, whereby deficiencies in existing language usage have been eliminated as far as possible. This standard has been prepared by DIN Standards Committee Printing and Graphic Technology (NDR), Working Committee NA 017-00-03 AA "Prozesssteuerung und zugehörige Messtechnik" ("Process control and related metrology").
