Overview

DIN 16002 specifies the requirements for indicating pressure gauges with Bourdon tubes, diaphragm springs, bellows springs and capsule springs for measuring absolute pressure, whereby other mechanisms are also permissible. It applies to pressure gauges with dial with scale and pointer, and contains specific test methods for carrying out type and production tests. DIN 16002 applies to display ranges less than up to and including 25 bar and for nominal sizes from 63 to 160. It also applies to liquid-filled pressure gauges and to pressure gauges for oxygen and acetylene, but not to pressure gauges for electrical limit signaling.
