DIN 14811/A2:2014-08

Hoses as in this standard serve to convey fire extinguishing media. When empty, such hoses can be rolled or folded flat. This second revision A2 of the standard of DIN 14811 was necessary to bring the standard up to the current state of technology. The most important change is the subdivision of class 1 (uncovered hose) C and B hoses into three performance levels L1, L2 and L3 with regard to abrasion resistance. Amendment A2 is published separately since the discussion of comments result lead to the need of an amendment, but the market urgently requires the current A2. A consolidated new version of DIN 14811 into which all modifications will be incorporated will be published if the work on another amendment of the standard has been completed and it appears that no further amendment will be necessary.
