The document contains the composition of an environmental damage chest with frequently used equipment parts and auxiliary equipment for fire services which is used in case of a given hazard of environmental damage or to eliminate already existing environmental damage. The environmental damage chest can be carried along as fire-fighting equipment on fire-fighting vehicles. In the first edition of this standard of February 2005, the content of the environmental damage chest has been adopted from the standard for the emergency tender RW according to DIN 14555-3. Regarding the equipment, standardized tools have been chosen where possible. The standard points out that, in case of possible spatial and dimensional reserves, the loading of the boxes may be supplemented as desired. The following reason is given for the modification of the previous edition DIN 14800-15 of February 2005: Since these boxes are not produced from wood, the wooden design version has been deleted. This standard edition represents a consolidated version of the standard into which the following significant modifications of DIN 14800-15:2005-02: have been incorporated: - the wooden design has been deleted; - marking has been revised; - information on the coating has been deleted. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 031-04-09 AA "Sonstige Ausrüstung - SpA zu CEN/TC 192/WG 5" ("Other equipment - mirror committee of CEN/TC 192/WG 5") at DIN.
This document replaces DIN 14800-15:2005-02 .
