Overview

The standard series DIN 14700 specifies requirements for a uniform CAN interface for components installed in emergency vehicles of fire brigades and public authorities and emergency services and incorporated for vehicle operation and vehicle diagnosis. Part 6 specifies the CAN messages between gateway and portable pump. Being an interface standard, it deals in particular with aspects of interchangeability and compatibility. DIN 14700 is a standard series and so far consists of 9 parts. 2 other parts are in preparation. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 031-02-02 AA "Elektrische Betriebsmittel" ("Electrical equipment") at DIN.
