This document has been prepared by the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV), Working Committee NA 067-00-09 AA "Verbindungselemente ohne Gewinde" ("Fasteners without thread"). This standard applies for grooved pins, half length grooved with gorge (frictional and interlocking connection), which are used for the collet of snap-ring, retaining washers, springs or similar, whereby the pin is firmly fixed in the locating bore. These grooved pins have nominal diameters of d1 of 1,5 mm to 25 mm, and are shaped as profil A (with a groove for snap-rings according to DIN 471), profil B (with a groove for retaining washers according to DIN 6799) and profil C (with a rounded groove).
