Explosion-proof portable transfer pump for dangerous fluids with electric motor serve for the transfer of aggressive liquids, petroleum products and flammable liquids of explosion groups II A and II B and temperature classes T1 to T3 in potentially explosive atmospheres of zone 1. With this consolidated new edition by modification of the standard, the tank truck coupling system of 10 bar nominal pressure and DN 50 nominal size (TW coupling DN 50) according to DIN EN 14420-6 has been included as an alternative to the welded liner SD at the suction inlet according to DIN 11851 or the welded male part SC at the pressure outlet according to DIN 11851. This amendment is necessary due to the fact that the hazardous material vehicle GW-G according to 14555-12 provides for both alternative means of connection. In total, the following changes have been made in comparison to DIN 14427:2005-01: a) in the German version, the designation of the pump has been changed to "Gefahrstoff-Umfüllpumpe" ("transfer pump for dangerous fluids"), as the previously used German term "Gefahrgut" ("dangerous goods") does not only include the dangerous fluid but also its packaging; b) the tank truck coupling system has been added as an alternative to the threaded coupling system; c) for clear specification and to avoid erroneous orders, the identification block for designation has been amended by adding an additional selection criterion of the means of connection "threaded coupling" or "tank truck couplings"; d) when using the tank truck coupling system, a permissible protrusion of 40 mm at the pump side has been added to the dimensions, with a respective increase of the cubic measure; e) designation and test have been updated; f) contents have been editorially revised. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-04-05 AA "Feuerlöschpumpen - SpA zu CEN/TC 192/WG 2" ("Firefighting pumps - mirror committee of CEN/TC 192/WG 2") of the Firefighting and Fire Protection Standards Committee (FNFW).
